Our Story

MBL is (left to right) Dave Hock, Michael McCloskey and Steve Moore.  All life long musicians, the trio came together in 1996 when the "Loud Men" found themselves working for the same firm. All were looking for new ways to express their creativity outside of the office and their love of playing music.

Each auditioned for a band being assembled to play for company events.  All made the cut (OK, the line wasn't that long) and quickly discovered a common language in the classic rock of the 60's, 70's and 80's, forming a tight musical partnership and strong, lasting friendship spanning nearly 20 years and counting.

The boys saw an opportunity to use their music to extend their personal belief in community service and giving back, volunteering performances for local non-profit fundraisers and other community service events.

We're very proud to say that MBL has donated nearly 200 performances to wonderful national organizations doing life-changing work including the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, Canine Companions for Independence, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the National Multiple Sclerosis Association, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and Rebuilding Together.

As well as numerous local organizations like various Boys & Girls Clubs, Police Activities Leagues, County Volunteer Associations, Parents Helping Parents, the Sacramento Children's Home, and the Parent's Nursery School Co-op in Palo Alto, CA.
